Every year we welcome interns from all over the U.S, who bring ideas and energy that is an asset to our mission. This year we gave them the chance to tell us what the Y means to them, by taking our YMCA Intern Quiz. On August 11, 286 eager kids participated in the Reston Kids Triathlon and took on a day of active fun!
Families gathered at Langston Hughes Middle School to take part in biking, running and swimming at the 3rd Annual event of the YMCA Fairfax County Reston and the Reston Association.

252 lbs, hypertensive and diabetic!...
When I began working at the YMCA Bethesda-Chevy Chase, my goal was to change all this by becoming a gym rat, or some kind of great swimmer. But I couldn’t get myself motivated to do it. I was upset that I worked full time at the Y, had a free membership and was not using it.
