Aerial Yoga

Aerial Yoga is everything you love about yoga with a twist of play, flight, meditation, restoration, core stabilization, and full range of motion. Look no further if you’re interested in taking this class for a test swing – at YMCA Anthony Bowen, Aerial Yoga classes are offered 4 times each week.

Beginner/Intermediate Yoga

A traditional Hatha class that includes basic asanas (postures), pranayama (breath work), progressive muscle relaxation, restorative postures, relaxation, meditation, and an introduction to partner, or "Double Yoga". Geared towards beginner & intermediate.

Beginning Yoga

This class is for the tentative beginner or those who need a very slow pace. Props and gentle postures help the student to find a way into comfortable practice. Emphasis is on body-mind awareness, breathing, joint mobilization, basic yoga postures, and relaxation. Suitable for seniors.

Hatha Flow

Pilates Reformer

A pilates reformer machine takes your Pilates routine to the next level by providing additional resistance to your workout.  It also ensures that you are correctly positioned while going through the exercises.  Training can be one-on-one or partner training, and is accepted by appointment only.  Please stop by the front desk for more information on dates, times and if applicable, fees.

Power Yoga

Postures, vinyasa, and breathing techniques of the Ashtanga system of yoga and incorporated into this class to develop better flexibility, strength, power, balance, relaxation, and movement patterns. Not for beginners.

Restorative Yoga

Breathing exercises enhance relaxation, which is essential for effective stretching. Practice includes Yin postures (familiar stretches held longer) and restorative postures (supported with pillows and blankets). Restorative yoga is an excellent practice for endurance athletes.
