The NEW Junior Leaders program provides middle and high school youth with opportunities for leadership training and service learning experiences with the goal to create a team of young people that will better serve their community and the Y as they encourage one another to make a positive impact for present and future generations. Junior Leaders begin to learn practical leadership skills, participate in teambuilding activities and spend time working hands-on with a group of traditional campers. Combined with traditional camp activities, field trips and more, Junior Leaders transition seamlessly from camp to Leaders-in-Training

Leaders-in-Training is a teen program specifically designed for our future leaders. This two-phase program first sends your teen through a week of training in First Aid, CPR, working with 5-12 year olds, camp songs, games and crafts. After successfully completing training and achieving L.I.T. status, participants will be assigned to assist our talented day camp staff with the daily operation of the traditional camps. This program provides an excellent opportunity for teens to learn hands-on job experience and responsibilities, while still under the supervision of our camp staff.

Enhance your outdoor adventure camp experience by learning leadership and group management skills, while earning Service Learning Hours! CITs will work alongside professional outdoor adventure staff and assist with daily activities in the outdoor adventure camp. This program focuse on developing leadership, responsibility, and encrougagement skills.

Designed especially for teenagers, each week is jam packed with activities that will stimulate their minds, offer opportunities to grow as individuals and travel to local areas of interest and excitement. Various field trips throughout the week provide an unforgettable summer filled with fun, learning and making new friends!
Monday- Swimming/Waterpark Tuesday- Sports or Skills (bowling, mini golf, etc.) Wednesday- Fun Time! (arcade, amusement park, etc) Thursday- Challengeing Activity (teambuilding, climbing, hiking, scavenger hunt, etc.) Friday- Aqua Adventure (canoe, rafting, sailing, etc.) |
